My Slab built vase.
I built this using a technique called slab-building. I first had a large sheet of clay (that had been drying overnight) and I then made indents on it. I chose to focus on Triangles, Circles, Rectangles and Ovals.

After drawing on the clay I cut 4 equal slabs out of it. I then beveled the edges and attached them by scoring them and using slip. After that I made a base and attached it to the bottom.

I used copper oxide and clear glaze. I'm afraid I used too much glaze on it and that's why the surface has gone milky. I will have to learn from my mistake and do it properly next time. I think that if the glaze hadn't messed up it would have turned out really well. I also like the effect that the oxide has by looking like it's oozing down the sides.
